Two years ago, Stella Eziama co-founded Shop Africana as an e-commerce website to empower African women entrepreneurs and SMEs by linking them to the global market while providing comprehensive business success training. She serves as the Lead for the Digital Marketing department at Shop Africana, where she formed Digital Rural—an offline outreach programme that targets and educates rural farmers and agro-business owners on the need for digital marketing strategies. Stella aims to promote economic growth, gender equality, and sustainable development and to empower one million women and small and medium-sized businesses across Africa by 2030. With her unique focus on women, SMEs and the promotion of authentic Afro-centric products and services, Stella is helping to build stronger networks and alliances between African businesses, their global communities, NGOs and artisans and create financially independent women.
She is a former project manager at Millenium Mission for Hope and Care International, where she orchestrated fundraising for procuring and distributing over 1,000 mosquito nets and groceries worth over 5 million naira to underprivileged locals in Ekpan, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. Stella is an alumnus of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
