One year ago, 30-year-old Gorki Mohammed established 88-Ashes Hollow Blocks. 88-Ashes Hollow Blocks is a startup that uses slag ashes from the waste materials of coal power plants to make environmentally friendly hollow blocks for the building industry in Nigeria. Gorki is passionate about creating new and more sustainable ways of building homes, and by turning waste materials into new goods, he believes that our natural resources will be preserved and the environment protected through reduced pollution levels.
